First Purchase Guarantee
New subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their first paid charge if they have almost not used the service (at most 1 preset-style generation and at most 1 YouTube style learning). Accidental purchases may also qualify within 48 hours — email support@narrascript.co. Details in Section 4 below.
1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions for NarraScript (the "Service"), operated at narrascript.co. NarraScript is a digital software service that generates AI-powered film and TV commentary scripts. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details.
By subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Refund Policy and our Terms of Service.
2. Paid Plans
NarraScript offers the following subscription plans (prices in USD, billed monthly):
- Pro — $25/month: expanded generation limits, downloads, templates, and up to 30-minute scripts.
- Studio — $39/month: higher generation limits, team-scale workflow features, and up to 60-minute scripts.
Plan features and pricing are described on our Pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle until cancelled.
3. Digital Service — Immediate Access
NarraScript is a digital service delivered immediately upon successful payment. Once your subscription is active, you gain instant access to paid features, including AI script generation, style learning, template storage, and file downloads (where included in your plan).
Because access is granted at the time of purchase and usage consumes server and AI resources, subscription payments are generally non-refundable after the First Purchase Guarantee window (Section 4) has passed or usage limits are exceeded.
4. First Purchase Guarantee
We want you to try NarraScript with confidence. If this is your first paid subscription on your account, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your initial charge, provided:
- You have used at most 1 preset-style generation since subscribing; and
- You have used at most 1 YouTube style learning since subscribing.
This guarantee applies once per account and only to your first Pro or Studio subscription — not to renewals or plan changes. If approved, we will refund the full amount of that first charge and cancel your subscription immediately.
48-hour accidental purchase: If you subscribed by mistake, you may also email us within 48 hours of your first charge. The same minimal-usage limits above apply. We will review and respond promptly.
How to request: Email support@narrascript.co from your account email with the subject line "Refund Request — First Purchase", your subscription date, and a brief reason. We aim to respond within 5 business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
5. General Refund Policy
Outside the First Purchase Guarantee (Section 4), other exceptions (Section 6), or legal requirements, we do not offer refunds — partial or full — for:
- Monthly subscription fees after payment has been processed
- Unused time remaining in a billing period after you cancel
- Unused generation credits or quota within a billing period
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated output quality, accuracy, or style
- Failure to use the Service during a billing period
We strongly recommend using the Free plan to evaluate NarraScript before upgrading. The free tier includes access to core features so you can test the workflow before subscribing.
6. Other Exceptions
We may issue a refund or account credit at our sole discretion, or where required by law, in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate or erroneous charges — you were billed more than once for the same subscription period, or charged an incorrect amount due to a billing system error.
- Unauthorized transactions — a charge was made without your authorization (subject to verification).
- Prolonged service outage — a verified technical failure on our side prevented paid subscribers from accessing core features for an extended period during the billed cycle.
- Legal requirement — where consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require a refund for digital services.
To request review under this section, contact us within 14 days of the charge at support@narrascript.co with your account email, transaction date, and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current billing period.
- Email support@narrascript.co from the email address associated with your account and request cancellation.
- After cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, then your account reverts to the Free plan.
- Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Stripe subscription — please contact us or cancel through your payment method provider if applicable.
8. Chargebacks & Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@narrascript.co before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We will work in good faith to resolve billing disputes promptly.
Filing a chargeback for a valid subscription charge may result in suspension of your account pending investigation.
9. Free Trials & Promotions
If we offer a free trial or promotional pricing in the future, specific terms will be displayed at checkout. Unless otherwise stated, converting from a trial to a paid plan constitutes acceptance of this Refund Policy for all subsequent charges.
10. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your country or region. If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with statutory withdrawal or refund rights for digital content, those rights apply only to the extent required by law and may be affected once you begin using the Service with your consent.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of paid plans after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
